Uniformed crops and updated technology are key to having successful corn and soybean crops. This was the message about 250 growers were given during the first-ever South Carolina State Corn and Soybean Growers Meeting, hosted by Clemson Cooperative Extension Service on Dec. 7.

Clemson University’s Army and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) units will hold a joint ceremony to commission six second lieutenants at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Tillman Hall auditorium.
 
Beware boxwood blight-infected holiday wreaths

Seemingly innocent holiday wreaths sold across the Palmetto State have been found to carry a devastating plant disease. Boxwood blight, a fungal disease that can be deadly to the familiar boxwood shrub, was confirmed on wreaths containing boxwood cuttings from a single North Carolina nursery.
